As we look forward to the many Christian serving opportunities helping others and spreading the Good News coming in 2009, your Peace Missions funds this past year has been instrumental in numerous local and international benevolence organizations. Representatives from many of the local organizations have visited with us during the church service this past year to inform you personally of their organization’s outreach. Nationally, Peace Missions supports the work our denomination provides through the One Great Hour of Sharing and Disaster Relief coordinating programs like our New Orleans Missions group participated in this fall. We also support missionaries and organizations serving people facing the many overwhelming challenges in Africa.
The following is a list of benevolence organizations funded by Peace Church Missions funds:
Presbyterian Church USA – Presbyterian Disaster Relief, Church World Service, and Three Agency Presbyterian Missions
Our church supports local charities and missions around Martin County, among them: Elev8Hope, Habitat for Children Ministries (Haiti), House of Hope, Love and Hope in Action (Homeless outreach), Mary’s Home of the Treasure Coast, Inc., Meals on Wheels, Safe Space,Inc., Salvation Army of Martin County, as well as Presbyterian Church (USA) missions: One Great Hour of Sharing, 2 Cents a Meal, and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
Throughout the year our active church creates many additional opportunities for fellowship, interaction and devotion.
